The new year 2020 will ring in some of the most elaborate and spectacular construction projects in Southern Nevada's history. Over the course of several posts, I will highlight various projects both on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip - and off the strip, where a vibrant community of now over 2 million people call home.
To date, there is over $5 billion of new construction under way in our valley, just in entertainment and hospitality venues. With the $2B - 65,000 seat Allegiant Stadium (home of the now Las Vegas Raiders), the MSG Sphere Event Center, the $980 million - 1.4 million square foot Las Vegas Convention Center, millions of square feet of state-of-the-art distribution warehouse space, and new office buildings along the 215 Beltway, 2020 is going to be a spectacular year for the construction and commercial real estate industry!
I have been blessed to call Las Vegas home my entire life. In fact, my family settled here in the early 1940's. I recall asking my mother the population back in 1980 and the answer was only 200,000 people! We've come a long way, baby!
To you and your family, Kara and I wish you a fantastic year ahead filled with good health, happiness, time with family, and all the best success! We hope we have an opportunity to work with you in the coming year.
